Times are tough right now. During this emergency blood shortage, blood donations are being distributed at a faster speed then donations are coming. Because of this, there is a crucial need for more donations to help at-risk patients who’s surgeries and treatments are delayed.
One factor contributing to the shortage is the fact that summer has been in full swing. People are off on vacations and celebrating holidays, and donating gets put on the backburner. Now that school is starting back, and everyone has a little more free time, it’s time to make this a priority and help the many patients in need! If you know someone who has never donated before, encourage them to go out and make a difference. It’s not a huge time commitment, but the domino effect can have a great outcome.
